Detroit is the largest city in the state of Michigan. While it exists in many universes, the Earth-818793 version of the city is notable for being the residence of Ash Williams, making it the subject of many supernatural attacks.
The city of Detroit (while not explicitly stated until later) first appeared in Army of Darkness: Ashes 2 Ashes #1. It later made it's debut in the "prime" Evil Dead timeline very briefly in the Ash vs Evil Dead episode Books From Beyond.
